liugnodchair01.zip | A chair that does not impede traffic, and it's legless so that your
Sims never stub their toes.
Its comfort and room score are amazing.
It does not impede traffic because Sims can more or less
walk through it. Hours of testing and putzing were needed
to discover that a completely walk-through chair cannot be used
in some circumstances, and so this chair is not quite completely
walk-through -- there is one pixel in the middle where Sims
cannot go.

GnoPlayBed.zip |
"Play in bed", that's what the menu entry says. Nothing about woohoo or love.
And that's how this bed works. Sims can play even if they're strangers or hate each other or even if they're related. They get a good relationship and motive boost, but they don't fall in love, and nobody gets jealous.
Categorized for all community lots.

liugnofamilybed.zip | This invisible object is visible at useful times. Put it on the same tile as a bed and your Sims will
sleep when they should, and get up either when the
car pool comes or when they are fully rested; and,
each Sim will sleep in its own bed!
For a double bed, place one on the right side and
one on the left side of the bed.
liugnofamilybed combines the technology of the MummyBed,
which knows when your Sims should sleep, with the
methods of liugnopetnap, which allows cats to sleep
on the sofa; and it adds a new trick which allows it
to know for certain if it's on the same tile as a bed,
and to complain if it's not -- you cannot fool it by
placing it on the same tile as a tree or tub.
The result is that you get the benefits of the
mummybed, but you can furnish your house with any
beds you want! (It's unlikely, but not impossible,
that there are some hacked beds that won't work with
liugnofamilybed.)
The special thing about liugnofamilybed is that each bed
is owned by a specific Sim. This can happen naturally,
or you can choose them yourself.
When liugnofamilybed is visible, you can click on it
and choose "Make This My Bed" to make the currently
selected Sim the owner of the bed; you can also choose
"Whose Bed is This?" to find out who owns it.
This is cumbersome, because before you can click on the
liugnofamilybed, you probably have to move the bed!
So, when an unowned liugnofamilybed detects a family
member sleeping in the bed that's on the same tile as
itself, that Sim becomes the owner! In other words,
you can make a Sim own the bed by sending him to sleep!
Is that easy to use, or is it ridiculously easy to use?
You decide.
A Sim who owns a bed will almost never sleep in any
other bed unless you tell her to. A Sim who sleeps in
a bed owned by some other Sim will be thrown out of
bed -- but I'm so kind that I'll give that Sim an
energy boost while doing so.
Unlike the Mummybed, liugnofamilybed does not
interrupt your Sims when they need to go to sleep; and
as a result they may get to sleep a little bit late.
On the other hand, liugnofamilybed can only guess how
fast the bed restores energy. As a result, your Sims
may go to bed a bit early.
When the car pool is due, liugnofamilybed will wake up
the Sim who is using its bed. This could happen as much
as 14 minutes after the hour, and then the Sim has to
grumble for half an hour and make the bed and then run
to the car -- and sometimes might miss work! Fortunately,
in Simland there are lots of jobs available and a hefty
bonus with every promotion.
When the Energy bar is more red than green and the border
between the two colors is between the E and the n, that's
when you should see your Sims going to bed...

will sleep when they should, and get up either when
the car pool comes or when they are fully rested.
For a double bed, place one on the right side and
one on the left side of the bed.
Of course, unless you have "empowered" visitors, or
visitors summoned by some object similar to Inge
Jones's teleplant, the car pool doesn't really
matter. For normal guests, liugnoguestbed tries
to get the Sims to sleep between midnight and 6 AM,
because if they wake up then they'll say "It's too
late" and they'll go home.
The important thing is that your guests can sleep,
and they can sleep in any bed you choose. Even
a normal visitor can sleep in an unhacked bed!
Liugnoguestbed is written to work together with
liugnofamilybed. Together, they give you family
members who sleep in their own beds and guests who
sleep in your guest beds.
The result is that you get the benefits of the
mummybed, but you can furnish your house with any
beds you want! (It's unlikely, but not impossible,

and as a result your Sims may go to bed a bit early.
This is good because they get to have a few minutes to
top off some Motives.

liugnomummybed.zip | Why GnoMummyBed Exists
======================
If you want to be able to allow your Sims to live their own
lives with no interference from you, you soon discover that
Sims have very bad sleep problems. They rarely sleep until
they'ready to crash and sleep on the floor -- and sometimes
hit the floor while walking to the bed. As a result, they'll
be sound asleep when the car pool comes, and they'll miss work.
Liugnomummybed forces Sims to sleep when they should, and is
therefore the foundation of the freewill lifestyle, the one
most indispensable object you can have.
(Well, liugnofamilybed is newer and in some ways better...)
What The MummyBed Does
The mummybed knows when it's time for your Sims to go to sleep,
and forces them to do so.
When is it time to sleep? Either when your Sim's energy level is way
too low, or when your Sim has just enough time to max out its energy
before going to work.
Each mummybed may be set to enable or disable summoning; by default,
it is set to enabled.
Sims sleep standing up in the mummy case.
The special animation when a Sim sleeps is that it doesn't fidget!
They still dream, can be woken up by noise, and so forth.
The Appearance of the MummyBed
I stretched the graphics of the original object so that the mummy
is taller than a Sim, and I played with the a and z buffers so that
you sometimes see the head & shoulders of the sleeping Sim. It will
show through adjacent walls, so placing it next to a wall is
forbidden, and on some rotations your Sim seems to be standing beside
it, not in it.
In other words, the mummy graphic is a bit embarassing.
For this new release, I added a new graphic -- the deco column from
Superstar! This is in preparation for revised graphics which I hope
will be contributed to it!
For the moment, the Mummybed changes grahic state whenever you move
the mouse pointer over it. You have probably never seen an object do
this before, so it may be a bit disconcertig; and if you hold the
mouse in just the right place, the mummybed will flicker between the
two graphic states.
Super Bed Or Normal Bed?
The mummybed has two modes of operation: if the menu says "Normal Bed",
it is in superbed mode and is offering to change into normal mode, and
if it says "Superbed" it is in normal mode but will let you change to
super mode. Each mummybed may be set separately.
How Super is a SuperBed?
The best Maxis bed seems to give just 3 energy per hour, which means
that a Sim whose energy level is as low as it can go should need to
sleep for 66 hours. This is a mystery which I will solve in the next
few paragraphs.
In Normal mode, the mummybed restores energy at 7 per hour, and a Sim
who is just about to pass out for lack of energy will sleep 6 hours.
You also get 50 comfort per hour, which restores you fast as can be.
In superbed mode, you get 20 energy per hour, 50 comfort, and 2 of
everything else (just enough to keep from decreasing). A crashing Sim
will sleep for 4 hours, by actual test.
Tests were conducted using tsg_cuckooclock.iff, whose MIN function
reduces energy to -50; I guessed that the test subject's energy level
when getting into bed was -60.
These figures tell me that just for being in a "bed", the game gives
your Sim about +20 energy per hour. Confirming this, the best Mission
Double Bed restores a crashing Sim in 6.5 hours.
Thus you see that the mummybed in "Normal" mode is not too extreme
for use in a demi-clean house (a completely clean house uses only Maxis
objects; a demi-clean house tries to avoid objects which are too
powerful.)
HISTORY AND FUTURE OF THE MUMMYBED
My standup mummy bed started life as a vase, then it became bibmummy
at SimsOnPause, then it became gnobibmummy at SimsOnPause, now it's a
bed of sorts.
I intend to make an invisible object that when placed on any bed will
summon Sims to sleep the way the mummybed does.
SPECIAL NOTES
When the sleeping Sim's carpool is due, the mummybed will eject the
sleeping Sim and put the Sim into "running" mode.
A Sim gets +10 to Fun when the mummybed finishes.

liugnodtable01.zip | GnoDining is a 1x1 dining table that floats in air, and
pieces can be placed together to make a nice-looking
dining table of any desired shape or size. That's been
done before, but this one works with no expansion packs.
In addition, Sims can walk through it, it can be placed
just about anywhere (including some places where it can't
be used as a table), and it has the maximum possible
room score.
In a room, it looks surprisinly nice, and goes with many
different floors and walls; and of course it matches my
dining room chair rather well.
The important thing, though, is that sims can walk right
through my chair and table. This causes some strange-looking
scenes, but greatly improves traffic flow! | |
liugnogrowsofa.zip | liugnogrowsofa is actually a single-tile chair.
If you put two next to each other, they appear to turn
into a two-tile loveseat!
Guess what happens if you put three side by side? That's
right, they become a three-tile sofa! Have you ever
wanted a four-tile sofa? Five? Six?
How about a 48-tile sofa? It's up to you!
No cuddling, no naps, and the "sofa" doesn't have its own
group talk. | |

liugnomhasink.zip | A more hygienic bathroom sink, but no washing dishes. Idle
Sims will not stay in the same room with it.
They go to the mailbox, since I couldn't get them to just
leave the room. At any rate, they won't congregate in the
bathroom anymore.

liugnomhatoilet.zip | This toilet has graphics by Mhari and reprogramming by
Gnohmon. It is fast, comfy, self-cleaning, self-flushing,
never clogs, requires no privacy, and does not need to
be placed against a wall. Oh, and no hand-washing!
For a while now, I've been trying to choose new graphics
for my old bathroom objects. In the most recent livin-it-up
update, mhari made a bathroom set which she thinks is wood;
I think it's red marble, and I like it a lot.
If you want to build a house with no walls at alls, this
is an object you'll need! If you want traffic in your bathrooms
to flow smoothly, with no shooing, you need this toilet! If you
hate the way your Sims go and wash their hands afterwards (twice,
if you already queued up that action -- shades of the Scottish Play!),
this will become your favorite toilet.
Convinced? But I didn't even mention that it works much faster
than ordinary toilets, is very comfy for your Sims' tushies,
it never clogs (unless a Monster breaks it), and it's self-cleaning.
It flushes itself as well, but so did the Maxis toilet it was
cloned from.
There used to be some options to modify its behavior. These
have been disabled.
NOTE 2006: A spiffy feature is that if you cancel the action of
using the toilet, Bladder goes to 100% instantly. I use this a lot
for Sims who are getting ready for work.

liugnowhitlfant.zip | This eyesore is too expensive to keep and too expensive
to get rid of.

is to get rid of all your Sims' money; and to entertain
you as you laugh at the idea of it...
