TUNA NOODLE CASSEROLE

  • Feeds 5 or more
  • 2 boxes Mac and Cheese .. we prefer shells
  • Cook the noodles in sufficient water to cover them. Cook until almost tender.
  • Strain noodles
  • Put back into the kettle.
  • Add the instant cheese (if powdered cheese follow the boxes' directions).
  • Add 1 can cream of mushroom .. small or family sized if you really like Cream o' mushroom.
  • Add 1 can of vegetables: corn, 1 cup broccoli, peas, carrots .. whatever you favor.
  • Add 2 cans of tuna fish.. drain the juice first.
  • Mix and simmer steam rises.. keep it stirred or it will stick.
  • Season with salt, pepper or your favorite seasoning salt.
  • CHILI

  • 2 quarts tomatos
  • 3 cans chili beans
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder,
  • dash of salt and pepper
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion
  • Brown ground beef and onion in frying pan.. sprinkle a little salt and pepper as they cook.
  • While beef and onions are cooking ... place tomatos, beans and chili powder in a kettle.
  • Heat at a simmer.
  • When steam begins to rise add tomato paste.
  • Season with a dash more salt and pepper.
  • Once the hamburger and onions are done..
  • drain the grease off and add the meat and onion to the chili.
  • Simmer for at least 15 minutes.
  • Serve with crackers or bread and butter. Add shredded cheese if you like.
